Erklärung der Motor-Nummern:

Beispielsweise die Nummer "4 x 20 V 1163 TB 93" bedeutet: In diesem Schiff befinden sich 4 Motoren. In jedem Motor befinden sich 20 Zylinder. Diese Zylinder sind V-förmig angeordnet. Es handelt sich um die Baureihe 1163. Diese Zahl bedeutet zusätzlich, dass jeder Kolben ein Volumen von 11,63 Litern umfasst. TB = Turbo mit Seewasserkühlung. Die Zahl 93 bedeutet nur, dass es sich um die Konstruktions-Variante Nummer 93 handelt. Wenn sich in der Motorbezeichnung ein "A" befindet, handelt es sich um Aluminium. Es handelt sich wahrscheinlich um ein U-Boot. Eine Aluminiumkurbel kann von feindlichen Booten weniger gut geortet werden.
